Rec complex provides pool while PAC pool closed

Students can swim at Waterloo rec complex while PAC pool is under renovation. Through an agreement, students will be able to swim there for free during the spring term by using their WatCard.

The pool renovation is expected to take most of the summer. It will involve resurfacing of the pool and deck, removal of the 3-metre diving tower, and replacement of the 1-metre diving tower.

Director of Department of Athletics and Recreational Services Judy McCrae said that the pool was built in 1968 with the PAC and has been partly resurfaced before but this time it will be completely redone at a cost of about $20,000.

The Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex is located on Father David Bauer Drive, just south of Waterloo Park.
